Day to Day
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for crafting and executing impactful email marketing campaigns across digital platforms. This role focuses on driving engagement, nurturing leads, and enhancing brand loyalty by seamlessly integrating messaging and creative assets. The specialist will analyze email performance metrics and continuously optimize campaigns to achieve outstanding results.
The main roles and responsibilities for this position will include the following:
- Contribute to and execute the email marketing strategic plan that aligns with business goals, audience preferences, and industry best practices.
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance, using insights to refine strategies and recommend optimisations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement briefs, create and send emails that adhere to brand guidelines and industry standards.
- Segment email lists based on customer characteristics, behaviours, and preferences to deliver targeted, relevant content.
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, design, and CTAs to optimise open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Establish and uphold email marketing best practices and procedures, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, SPAM, and Privacy Laws.
- Implement marketing automation workflows to deliver personalized and timely emails based on subscriber actions and behaviours.
- Design, build, and execute visually compelling email templates that resonate with customers and drive action, ensuring compatibility across various email clients and devices.
- Manage the enterprise email calendar, balancing timelines and frequency to maintain member engagement.
- Proactively contribute ideas and feedback to foster continuous improvement and innovation within the Marketing Team and the broader Engagement Department.
You’ll Need
We would love to talk to candidates with around 5 years experience in email marketing and have a deep expertise in email marketing principles, trends and best practice. Your background is ideally from Agency, finance, banking or insurance type industries.
You will also be able to demonstrate experience by having:
- Proficient in data tracking, analysis, and metrics interpretation to enable data-driven decision-making and optimise campaign performance.
- Highly skilled in audience segmentation and creating targeted email workflows for effective campaign execution.
- Proven experience with Adobe Campaign Classic and/or Microsoft Dynamics, along with strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email template coding and compatibility.
- Intermediate design skills to craft visually compelling email templates and graphics.
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian email compliance laws and regulations, as well as best practice principles.
- Exceptional writing, grammar, and editing skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple work requests, meet deadlines, and consistently produce high-quality results.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, interpersonal, and communication skills.
